The regional terminal at Faleolo International Airport has officially opened, just in time for Samoa to welcome delegates for the CHOGM meeting. This development is a significant step toward enhancing our international flight connectivity.
Strategically located on the southern side of the main airport, this terminal will serve as the primary arrival point for flights from regional destinations such as American Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Tuvalu, Niue, and the Cook Islands, as well as domestic flights.
This SAT$25 million project, fully funded by the Samoa Airport Authority, represents a major milestone in Samoa’s infrastructure development. It reflects our unwavering commitment to transforming Samoa into a central hub for tourism, travel, and trade.
The CEO of the Samoa Tourism Authority said that the impact of this development on our tourism sector is expected to be substantial. We anticipate an increase in the number of tourists and visitors, which will undoubtedly contribute to the local economy.
