CloseSamoa is taking another important step towards strengthening its tourism industry, with the Samoa Tourism Authority preparing to launch its updated Tourism Standards.
Developed in partnership with SWITCH-Asia Pacific and the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO), the new framework replaces the Accommodation Standards introduced in 2005, reflecting today’s tourism industry, evolving visitor expectations and the growing importance of sustainability and climate resilience.
The updated Standards will help local tourism businesses enhance service quality, strengthen operational practices and deliver even more memorable experiences for visitors.
Alongside this, the proposed Samoa Tourism Excellence Programme will provide businesses with further opportunities to demonstrate quality, celebrate achievements and continuously improve.
