A new website has launched for the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. naturereserve.gi allows the purchase of tickets from a central point as part of Gibraltar’s digital and sustainable targets.
The Nature Reserve in Gibraltar’s limestone Rock is a protected area that covers over 40% of the country’s land area steeped in history and bio-diversity. it is known for its semi-wild population of Barbary macaques and is an important resting point for migrating birds.
As well as reaching out via this digital space, the site will engage with social media to promote the Nature Reserve and its further offerings. Visitors are given complete flexibility over their booking experience whether they wish to venture by foot, private tour or bike, they can tailor their visit to their individual choices.
The information offered on the site gives a broad overview of the Rock’s expansive flora and fauna, history and culture and natural assets.
The website also displays a strong emphasis on nature conservation, highlighting the extensive work that goes into maintaining the Reserve, its wildlife and attractions. It also embraces corporate social responsibility and offers the ability to help support the Reserve’s maintenance through ‘adopt an animal’ programmes and corporate sponsorship partnerships.
