The inaugural Measina Festival, which replaces the much-loved Teuila Festival, has been hailed a great success, attracting thousands of locals and international visitors for a week-long programme of cultural activities, performances and entertainment.
With a renewed focus on embracing, preserving and celebrating Samoa’s cultural treasures, the festival provided a wonderful opportunity for visitors and younger generations to experience the traditions, values and vibrant identity that make Samoa so special.
Performers from New Zealand and Australia also joined the celebrations, helping showcase the richness of Samoan culture to an even wider international audience.
