CloseSamoa International Game Fishing Association (SIGFA) has once again hosted another successful event this year, which has further solidified Samoa’s commitment to attracting tourists in this niche market. As a significant initiative supported by Samoa Tourism Authority (STA), the event showcased our natural resources and underscored our dedication to promoting sports tourism, reinforcing its standing as one of the Pacific’s premier destinations to host international game fishing events.
Taking place over seven days, this year’s competition welcomed participants from various countries including Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and American Samoa. Competitors engaged in a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship as they targeted renowned species such as marlin and tuna in our pristine waters.
