CloseThe cruise industry has shown significant growth recently, with an increasing number of vessels scheduled to dock in Samoa this year. I am pleased to report that several cruise liners have already secured bookings for trips to Samoa through 2027.
For the first quarter of this year, we anticipate a total of 10 cruise liners will make port calls to our shores. This figure is likely to rise as shipping agents continue to finalize their itineraries.
The positive impact of these cruise ship visits has been felt throughout the local economy, benefiting hotels, tour providers, businesses, and taxi operators alike.
A total of 27 cruise ships have been confirmed as of this month for 2025. STA as part of its hospitality services continue to provide Meet & Greet for every cruise ships with traditional entertainment on the pier.
Entertainment is provided by over 15 local church youth groups registered with STA that gives tourists a taste of Samoa’s hospitality and hype up passengers for their short visit around the island.
