At this year’s WTM, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority will be discussing its key developments for 2016 including; a major new advertising campaign, plans for the 60th Anniversary of Carnival in July 2016, the announcement of Robert De Niro as Economic Envoy and, the sports tourism strategy for 2016 and two new boutique hotels.

The team will also be able to discuss the recent opening of the new V.C Bird International Airport terminal and the launch of Antigua and Barbuda’s new Excursions Guide.

The Antigua and Barbuda stand will almost double in size this year, bringing the best of the ‘gem of the Caribbean’ to WTM.

Cricketing legend, Sir Vivian Richards, will be joined by special VIP guests on the Antigua and Barbuda stand this year following a special pro-celebrity cricket tour in October. 

On Wednesday, agents will be invited to spin the Antigua and Barbuda Beach Big Wheel for the chance to win Antiguan rum and spot prizes.

A number of bespoke on-stand training sessions will be held for agents on Wednesday ahead of the hotly anticipated CTO street party.  Agents are invited to enjoy an Antiguan rum cocktail on Wednesday evening and can look forward to a special show from Antigua and Barbuda’s carnival performers on Wednesday in celebration of the 60th anniversary of carnival which takes place from the 22 July to 2 August 2016.

Antigua and Barbuda’s carnival dancers will be putting agents through their paces with on-stand carnival dance lessons on Wednesday, feathers and headdresses optional!
